DESIGN INSPIRATION The P-51 Mustang was an American long-range single seat fighter plane introduced in 1942. The Mustang was a key aircraft during WWII and was primarily used by USA’s Eighth Air Force to escort bombing raids over German territories. The Mustang was also widely used as a Fighter/Bomber by the US Air Force’s Ninth Air Force which played a large role in maintaining the Allied air superiority in WWII.
