------UPDATE----- According to Us Magazine Chace Crawford will play the lead role Ren McCormack in the remake of "Footloose" http://www.usmagazine.com/news/exclusive-chace-crawford-to-star-in-footloose-2009195 - My opinion is that Derek would have made a better Ren, he can sing and can dance circles around Chace. I think the people at Paramount just made a huge mistake.
