KLM MD-11 waiting for parking spot at very windy YUL / CYUL Montreal Trudeau Int'l Airport HD
Filmed by WestIslandKev: Monday, October 29, 2012 Montreal, Quebec, Canada. TROPICAL STORM SANDY kicks up the winds in Montreal! No crosswind effect as the wind is perfectly aligned with the two runways in use today. It did however impact takeoff and landing time, some of the lighter aircraft seemed to lift very fast heading into the strong gales. Plane spotting at YUL / CYUL Montreal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport (Aéroport international Pierre-Elliott-Trudeau de Montréal) from the Jacques de Lesseps Observation Park on the East perimeter where smaller aircraft are using runway 06R (southwest to northeast) and later on west perimeter of airport where larger aircraft are using 06L (southwest to northeast). Another spectacular warm fall day, 19°C (67°F), mix sun and cloud, strong north-easterly winds 50-60kph gusting to 80kph (30-35mph gusting to 50mph) with the stronger gusts after 6pm. Wonderful FULL MOON rising and appears in some of the videos today. Thanks for watching!
