'TRAIKALIK PRARTHANA': Sri Sri Thakur Sitaramdas Omkarnath's voice HD
Thakur Sri Sri Sitaramdas Omkarnath emphasized on the importance of prayers. He composed TRAIKALIK STABMALA , a collection of prayers to be recited regularly. His composition is steeped in spirituality and full of self surrender to the Lord. Thakur emphasized- “Prarthana [daily prayer] is obligatory for everyone. Prarthana is special spiritual practice like yoga and gyana. It is possible for a person to obtain bliss by practicing just prarthana and no other sadhana.” One striking aspect of Thakur’s ‘Prarthana’ is that- the Prayer begins with reciting the glory of many Acharyas of Sanatan Dharma- ‘sri bhagavate shankaracharya namoh sri bhagavate ramanujacharya namoh sri bhagavate ramanandacharya namoh sri bhagavate madhvacharya namoh sri bhagavate acharya bishnuswamine namoh sri bhagavate nimbakacharya namoh sri bhagavate srikrishna chaitanya chandraya namoh sri bhavate sriman nityanandaya namoh sri bhagavate ramkrishna paramhangsaya namoh..’ The narrator of ‘SriSriLilachinta’ aptly comments- ‘Prarthanar prarombhete pronam porob, Somprodaygoto gondi lupto setha sob. Sokol acharjo Tnar chokhe bhogoban, Prarthonar montro tar susposto proman… Udar mohan keba Probhur somaan~ Kon se ochyuto store Tnar obosthan!’ [The Prarthana starts with offering obeisance, and at that time, all sectarian divisions vanishes. All prophets are images of God in Thakur’s eyes, and this is quite evident in His ‘Prarthana’. Who is so universally liberal like my Master? At which height of Divinity does my Master dwell?] JAI SITARAM
