BUHOL BUHOL Sandwich official music video Sandwich couldn’t get the director we wanted for this video because of schedule conflict. Diego suggested to shoot a video of me walking through standstill traffic but i reminded him that we’ve done that for LAKAD. Our next idea was this one, to bike ahead of everyone during rush hour. Without thinking it through, I woke up early the next day, jimmied a go pro on a selfie stick with a drum mount to the handle bar of my bike (thanks zach) and pedaled to Marcos hiway. Oddly on that particular friday, there was no traffic in Marcos! I had to bike further up to Aurora but once I started recording, I couldn’t hear the playback from my phone due to the noise coming from all the vehicles. I tried to buy a blue tooth speaker in Anonas but I realized i didn’t bring any money. I managed to end up in Erica’s house in Cubao, got some well needed breakfast, borrowed a speaker and a backpack, and tried again. The goal was a one take, continuous shot biking through traffic, overtaking everyone without stopping and without breaking any laws. I took several takes on the way back home to Marikina, and a few more in rush hour Katipunan that same afternoon. This was the first take. Luckily I caught the go signal through Edsa. It was quite a gnarly experience but i had a lot of fun.
