Lux Aeterna HD
Timelapse video of the Aurora Borealis above ESRANGE, Kiruna, Sweden, on the night of 4th November 2015. Starting strong, the aurora wax and wane several times over the course of 4.5 hours (real time), finally dispersing with the rising moon. Several satellite trails are visible, as is a very bright and extremely well-timed meteor at about 8:10. Each photo was an eight-second exposure, taken every eleven seconds (to allow for mirror-lockup). The video is then played at one photo per second, with each photo blending into the next to smooth the motion. It is eleven times faster than real-time. Equipment: - Canon EOS 6D, running Magic Lantern - Canon EF 16-35mm f/4 L IS USM lens Music credit, all by Nine Inch Nails: - 21 Ghosts III - 14 Ghosts II - 18 Ghosts II - 28 Ghosts IV - 35 Ghosts IV - 13 Ghosts II
