In the comments, I got into a bit of a discussion with @volvo_sufu on the merits of wash vs no wash. ⁠ ⁠ Volvo was of the firm opinion that wash was the way to go. I am more in the no-wash (for a good long time) camp. Seems like the perfect start to a fade-off. Or well, there is no competition here. Just a couple of denimheads seeing how the jeans will fade in over time with one of us washing and one of us not. ⁠ ⁠ I went for the 50s slim fit jeans. Ryo packed them up and sent them over from Japan. And they arrived way sooner than I expected!⁠
