R1200RT R1200GS Fuel Sensor Film type Error 'Zapping' Repair HD

The fuel sensor strip in my 2009 R1200RT has stopped working which would not be a big issue as I always zero the trip meter at fill ups but the warning sign is very annoying. This method I have seen on BMWLT forum worked for me as you can see on the video. BMW was about to charge £220 for the replacement of the part (that is expected to play up again and again..). The fuel tank was filled to the brim before doing this.
