Guns N' Roses 2016 Coachella Reunion News Axl Rose to Retire, Steven Adler To Perform, Troubadour
Alternative Nation Axl Retiring Rumor http://www.alternativenation.net/axl-rose-retire-after-guns-n-roses-reunion/ Axl Rose – Fã Clube is reporting a new rumor that Axl Rose may retire following a Guns N’ Roses reunion. This is a rumor without a source, so take it with a grain of salt. Axl supposedly doesn’t want to perform anymore. He wants to say goodbye to the stage since he no longer believe he has the voice to tour. Rose would like to enjoy the rest of his life privately in Malibu. The reunion would be just a few concerts as a farewell to Axl Rose. Izzy Stradlin is already rumored to have been contacted about the reunion, while Steven Adler’s hasn’t been. RadarOnline reported last year that Rose was considering retiring, and was planning on dissolving the modern Guns N’ Roses lineup following a spring 2014 Las Vegas residency. “Band members have been told their calendars are free following Vegas,” a source close to the band told RadarOnline. “Axl (Rose) is considering retiring and it’s done. Band members and support staff were surprised when told the news and are actively looking for work.” “Axl has made enough money and wants to stop touring,” adds another source. “He is considering retiring.” Slash and Axl Rose recently reconciled, with Slash publicly revealing that he is friends with Rose again, ending a near 19-year long bitter feud following Slash’s 1996 departure from Guns N’ Roses. Eddie Trunk has posted a new blog discussing Guns N’ Roses reunion. Trunk states in the blog that Matt Sorum will have no involvement in the reunion, but Steven Adler could be a guest if a deal can be worked out. So far the lineup is Axl Rose, Slash, Duff McKagan, Dizzy Reed, Richard Fortus, Frank Ferrer, and Chris Pitman, though the band have only officially confirmed Rose, Slash, and McKagan. Read an excerpt from Trunk’s blog below. “Strong rumors suggest there will be a couple warm up dates and then more extensive touring after Coachella if it goes well and the offers are what they expect. But things are far from cut and dry here because there is no confirmation yet on who actually will be in this version of GnR besides Axl, Slash and Duff. Now for many that’s all they need. But for just as many they are hoping for the original 5 still at some point in the show. Since all official releases have only listed Axl, Slash and Duff it’s clear this is really going to be a mix of old and new Guns it would seem. But the reunion aspect and the entire billing is all about the 3 members in the press releases, which also included individual photos of each guy. My take is that they don’t quite have this all figured out just yet. They had to announce Coachella because it’s a festival with many other bands (very little of interest to hard rock/Guns fans), it was leaking out everywhere, and tickets are going on sale. But I would hope for and expect a press conference and more details, dates, and band members to be released as they get closer and sort t
