Police also confirmed in a statement by North-western police spokesperson Josephine Angucia that Wadri was found in possessions of pistol. He also denied the report that some of the suspects were totured while in detention. “The story of torture is not true, there is no torture at Gulu central police station cell, the MPs are accessible through their relatives and lawyers.” He added. Reacting on the matter, Hon Akello Lucy says she saw only 3 MPs; Gerald Karuhanga, Mike Mabike and Paul Mwiru at Gulu Police station yesterday but did not see the rest of MPs. She adds that other arrested people include a woman and a baby. MPs says that Moses Ali’s presentation has loopholes saying for instance it doesn’t account for whereabouts of Hon Francis Zaake. Hon Monicah Amoding suggests that the statement be rejected as inauthentic. The parliament has nominated a six man committee to establish the circumstance under which the MP will be charged in General Court Martial. Parliament has nominated MPs;Jovah Kamateka, Baryayanga Aja , Amule Ruth , Allan Ssewanyana, Medard Ssegona to attend the court martial in Gulu tomorrow Thursday to hear the case of MPs arrested in relation to the insecurity in Arua.
