Moments In History: The Wright Brothers' Day in Federal Court HD
In 1903, the Wright Brothers made aviation history when they flew their airplane for 59 seconds-a record at the time. They also made legal history in numerous patent battles, raising fundamental questions about the scope of a "pioneering patent." These questions still resonate today in litigation over patents and intellectual property. This video, prepared by the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts in partnership with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit, features a re-enactment of the famous 1913 patent battle between the Wright Brothers and Glenn Curtiss, a rival inventor.
