Russia's envoy to NATO holds video conference in Moscow
Permanent representative of the Russian Federation to NATO Alexander Grushko is due to hold a video conference in Moscow on Friday, October 9.Grushko’s briefing comes after the meeting of NATO’s defence ministers in Brussels on Thursday, when NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg called on Russia to play a "constructive role" in the fight against the self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL), claiming that its air strikes are not mainly targeting IS.According to Colonel-General Viktor Bondarev, Russia has launched at least 112 airstrikes against terror targets in Syria since its operation started on September 30.
