Oddsocks Revival was born in Co.Sligo, Ireland with the sole purpose of bringing you good time Rock & Roll, Funk and Blues. A striking stage presence and blend of music styles has given them a solid rep as a band who will keep the good times rolling. These four talented lads have been playing together since the summer of 2003 and have developed a powerful connection on stage which is evident at every gig. Bass player Michael Conefrey is heavily influenced by the 70s classic rock style. He provides the band with its underlying driving-blues bass lines and powerful vocals. Hard-hitting funk drummer Eoghan O Kelly brings those groovy rhythms into the mix of this rock and roll factory. On guitar and vocals Anthony Mannion, A highly acclaimed guitar player that pours out his original style of screaming guitars and funky rhythms with an unwavering passion! Luke Mercer gets strong influence from the bluesy rock and roll and funk sounds of the 70s. He brings a sweet and sour, bone crunching blues sound through his delectable guitar riffs and smile broadening lyrics. The Oddsocks lads are just back from a tour with Alabama 3 after been asked to support them on their latest Irish tour. The tour seen them impress crowds across the country and cement a following in many towns. The tour culminated with the Oddsocks revival and Alabama 3 performing 2 songs together for the encore. Alabama 3 front man Larry Love was so into their music he insisted on joining them onstage for their Crazy Funk tune. The Oddsocks revival have been one of the most exciting rock and roll bands in the North West since the days they were in school winning numerous battle of the bands competitions and spreading their good time music into the hearts and souls of their peers. The bands first recording was with Radio Foyle in Derry while they were still in School. Since then the band have been churning out brilliant original yet classic songs. They amassed a huge following in their home town, quickly becoming recognized as Sligos original goodtime band. The past two years have seen the band develop a truly original sound mixing humbucking blues and dirty funk grooves. Together with twin guitar leads and powerful four part vocal harmonies the Oddsocks Revival have set themselves apart from other bands. The band is in and out the studio constantly recording their debut EP which should be released in the autumn. With an eclectic genre mix, Oddsocks revival attract a dedicated following of groove lovers aging from 16-60. The band turns heads at every gig, creating a unique sound and atmosphere which always gets the people moving. They stole the show the Donegal Music Festival years in a row. Theyre ground trembling show headlining the street festival during the World Rally Championship 2009 was one of the band highlights.
