Keep it here. . What’s up guys. I’m Dana Ward and Carly finally released the vid for “I Really Like You” – yay! – and right now we’re breaking down the top highlights… starting with the beginning. Personally, I could have done without that terrible alarm clock sound at the kickoff. Not sure about you, but I felt like I was waking up in the middle of the night this am, ya know thanks to Daylight Savings, so starting the day off with that noise, not so great. But bam, highlight number 1 – holy what – Tom Hanks is lip syncing the super saccharine lyrics to Carly’s song. Amazing!! And yes, we are treated to this throughout the entire video. 2 – A dude asks for Tom’s autograph on the only thing that he has in his possession. Nope, it’s not a newspaper or a receipt. It’s a ping pong paddle. Good thing he had that early morning practice! 3— Emoji texting between Carly and Tom! Yep, even adults can get in on the most uncommunicative way of speaking to another human being. That’s another story – but I kinda like that Carly uses the dancing lady, something tells me that this is telling of what’s to come from the musician later in the music video – and the Speak No Evil monkey. That’s a classic. 4—Product placement from Tinder – yep, did you see it in there?? Tom or Tom’s character rather is an eligible bachelor in town and he gets two swipes to the right, people. Bam. At 5 -- Random street happenings. Yeah, so I already touched on a few and then I realized that this party deserves its own number on the list. Can we talk about the collegiate dancing crew on the side of the road marching it out?? Or what about the paparazzi who is almost star struck by this guy or the long pause on the Fiat. Any new buyers this year?? 6 – Tom Hanks, just in case you missed this at the top of my segment. Tom Hanks making a big reveal. And duh, that led us right into number 7 – the street choreography! This part of “I Really Like You” made me pretty happy – what about you? And finally, we can’t forget about our dude Justin Bieber who sneaks up from the back of the group to add in some flair to the chorus. And the video ends with arms thrown in the air, in fact, I almost felt like this was a musical stage show and I needed to applaud at the end.
