''The Wizard of Oz'' Commercials (February 20th, 1990) CBS WCPO Channel 9 HD

Here are some commercials aired during the broadcast of The Wizard of Oz celebrating the 50th anniversary of the film (a belated celebration in this case, as the film was released in August 1939); also includes bumpers for the movie which also includes some behind the scenes trivia revealed here by actress Angela Lansbury ("Murder She Wrote"; "Bedknobs and Broomsticks"). As you can see, this broadcast contains the version of the film where the all the Kansas scenes are in sepia tone; previous color broadcasts before 1990 had those bookending scenes in black & white, so this is the first broadcast using the sepia tone opening and closing scenes as opposed to the black and white variation seen in re-releases.
