2000 Doctors Back Bernie's Single Payer Healthcare Plan HD

2,000 doctors have backed Bernie Sanders single-payer healthcare system proposal. Doctors who supported Sanders new proposal expressed their concerns with the current Affordable Care Act claiming that, "down this road, millions of Americans remain uninsured, underinsurance grows, costs rise, and inefficiency and the search for profits are abetted." Current insurance policies sold through the marketplaces cover less than tradition employer plans previously did creating a “massively backwards” system that can’t deliver on the promise of affordable healthcare to all. Though Sanders single-payer health care proposal has yet to specify how it would be funded, it is estimated that the proposal would shrink administrative costs and reduce the cost of healthcare services and drugs.
