Your goal is to farm a lot, show up to teamfights, and continue buying stat items. Stat items are SUPER important on medusa because your main source of tankiness comes from your mana shield which trades mana for damage protection/block(not the correct mechanics term). The other thing that stats give you is good attack speed, damage, and damage for your illusions. Most medusa builds center around the items Manta, Linkens, Butterly, and Skadi. Generally pick 3 of these for your core items, and once you get 3 you should be a dominant force in your game. I always buy a wand and ring of basilius at least in the early game.
