Thomas Covenant and Jeff Gray visited the Jacksonville Aviation Authority (JAA) headquarters building in Jacksonville Florida. Accessibility Grade A, There were no locked doors or checkpoints that citizens must pass through in order to access the public lobby area of the building. After making the request to inspect and photograph the daily visitor log,the receptionist demanded to know who we were and why we wanted to view the log. It is a violation of Floridas Public Record law for a custodian to require identity or purpose as a condition of access to public records. However Wayne Clark rescued the situation in a very professional manner. Mr. Clark politely corrected the receptionist and put us in touch with Michael D Stewart Director,External Affairs. Mr.Stewart immediately identified himself,presented to us his business card,and allowed us acces to the visitor log.
