Celebrating 50 Years: FHU's Annual Benefit Dinner HD
From its beginnings in 1965, the Freed-Hardeman University Benefit Dinner has grown into an event that raises more than $1 million each year for student scholarships. For many years, it has been the largest single night fundraiser in the state, and during the past 50 years, it has raised more than $24 million to help thousands of students. With locations in Henderson, Memphis and Dickson, FHU offers an education from a Christian perspective to approximately 1,850 students. U.S News & World Report consistently lists the university in the top tier of colleges in the Southeast. FHU offers baccalaureate degrees in 44 undergraduate majors and 66 programs of study. It also offers master’s, specialist’s and doctoral degrees. For almost a century and a half, Freed-Hardeman has combined character and career education to produce graduates prepared to lead in the marketplace, community and church.
