Coincidentally when that last happened, their next fixture came against Frank Lampard’s Chelsea at Goodison Park where they secured a crucial 3-1 victory. That was one of three successive home wins the ‘Toffees’ have enjoyed over the West Londoners across their three most recent clashes here. Everton will be desperate to extend that winning run to four, and will perhaps be confident of doing so based on their recent form at Goodison Park. They’re unbeaten in three home league matches for the first time since September (W2, D1), with late goals proving crucial to their success in that run - they scored a stoppage-time winner and equaliser against Newcastle United and Leicester City respectively. Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel was critical of his forwards on Thursday night, stating they ‘lacked determination’ after his side failed to turn their dominance into a victory away to Manchester United (1-1). The ‘Blues’ are still sitting comfortably in third, six points clear of fourth, however their recent five-game PL form (W2, D1, L2) perhaps highlights they’ve got very little left to play for in this league campaign. They do, of course, have the FA Cup final to look forward to, and Tuchel will want to see his side pick up momentum again ahead of the showpiece event. He’ll therefore be pleased to see this clash come on a Sunday given his side’s unusually impressive record on this day of the week - Chelsea have played more games on a Sunday without losing than any other PL side this season (nine - W6, D3). Players to watch: Richarlison scored Everton’s last home league goal and he’s netted in two of his side’s last three home matches against Chelsea. Mason Mount could become the first Chelsea player since Lampard (2005/06) to score home and away in a single campaign against Everton. Hot stat: Both teams failed to score in ten of the last 13 competitive H2H meetings. #EVERTONvsCHELSEA #LIVEFOOTBALL #PREMIERLEAGUE
