I knew you caught me lookin' - Lunar Circus

06.08.2008
In a former incarnation of the Australian band Lunar Circus, (the three-piece Sweet Poison that is), this tune was a kick-ass, dialled to 11, spit on the floor, six-minute ear splitter. Lunar Circus went for a dance version where each musician plays his or her individual piece to make up the overall sound. Music and lyrics, as usual, by Howard Jackson. Tim Otto on Saxophone. Scott Phillips on Vox and Drums. Tim Walker on Bass. Wendy Moles on Vox and Keys. Howard Jackson on Vox and Guitar. THE VOYEUR - lyrics You smoke every cigarette a blowjob And dance the bayonet The lipstick coated corners Smoulder in a pirouette You glide across this cluttered room The mirror watches while you lose A ribbon from your tangled hair I stare at you From the corner of a dark café I fantasize your mystery Stare at you, you look away I knew, you, caught me lookin You caught meLookin You caught me You caught me At your invitation We tried conversation And later I followed you home In my estimation Your graceful gyrations Will wait til were Finally alone. You wore a silk kimono And mindlessly removed it I toppled like a domino At your grace and ease of movement Our frenzy love was in the dark You laugh at my confusion Struck a match and in a spark I knew you caught me lookin You caught me You caught me Naked from your high apartment You comment on the view I bathe in your sweet fragrance And stare down at the pavement Leaving from your open doorway We stand alone out in the hallway Stop and stare and laugh and say I knew you caught melooking. You caught me You caught me Lookin scott phillips - drums and vox wendy moles - keys and vox tim otto - sax tim walker - bass howard jackson - guitar and lead vox
