[ENG] 150501 Hoshi & Seungkwan's Andromeda (with DK, S. Coups, Vernon and The8) 1/2
And it ends on a cliffhanger!!! *Tense MC Boo voice* will the members of Seventeen be able to eat chicken? Dun dun dun! The next half ~might~ be uploaded soon because of winter break, but who knows what’ll happen. Anyways, enjoy~! Oh, also, this time I marked the lines that I have notes for with an asterisk* so if you see a line with an asterisk, then you know I have some insight on the meaning/something to say about that line of text~ **Translator’s Notes** 1. When Seungkwan was saying, “My type!” at the very beginning, there was a reason why Hoshi was going “Pow pow pow” and pretending to shoot. He said the word 취향저격, which consists of the words “취향” (preference) and “저격” (sniper), so I guess you’d call it “Preference sniper,” but it’s basically a word for someone that fits all your ideals to a T. They use the word sniper because snipers are so precise, I suppose~ It’s a bit hard to explain, sorry about that! Just a little trivia for any Korean-learners out there~ 2. I feel like I couldn’t explain Hoshi’s “muji” pun very well in the subtitles, so I’ll explain it here. “Muji” has a couple different meanings. If you say it when describing a shirt, it can mean “plain,” but if you use it as an adverb, it can be slang for “very”! For example, “Wow, it’s muji pretty!” (It’s very pretty!) and “It’s muji,” (It’s plain/blank) and to use both in one sentence, “It’s muji muji,” (it’s very blank) So he’s saying “You could wear a muji muji muji t-shirt.” (You could wear a very, very plain t-shirt.) Thus, Seungkwan hits him with the hammer. 3. Seungkwan’s joke about the playground must’ve been really funny, so I tried my best to figure out what ride he was talking about. Seokmin didn’t provide any useful context! Gosh. So I spent like 30 minutes searching on Naver, Google, and looking up what I thought he said but nothing came up… ;~
