This 3D Printed Bionic Arm Even Lets Its User Catch A Ball Using Myoelectric Sensors HD
Open Bionics has developed a robotic prosthetic hand made through the use of an innovative 3D scanning and printing process based on scans of the patient’s body. The customizable prosthetic employs sensors that attach to the skin in order to pick up on subtle muscle movements that will be used to control its movement. Thanks to the integration of myoelectric sensor technology, the wearer can carry out a range of motions and actions via the enabled prosthesis, achieving a two-fold goal: improving their overall motor skills, and allowing to engage in a number od daily tasks more independently.
