Olivia Munn To Play "Psylocke" In X Men Apocalypse Subscribe Now! ► http://bit.ly/SubClevverMovies The cast of the next X-Men movie continues to grow as a fan favorite actress is set to play a fan favorite character! Bryan Singer took to Instagram to announce that Newsroom star Olivia Munn as landed the role of “Betsy Braddock” aka “Psylocke” in next summer’s highly anticipated X-Men: Apocalypse. Psylocke is a mutant with various powers in the comic universe, including telepathy, telekinesis, precognition and the ability to manifest a telekinetic katana and knife to fight with. She is also a master in martial arts. Though the character did have a small role in 2006’s X-Men: The Last Stand, fans have been vocal about their desire to see her get an expanded role in the film and with Munn set to play her, it looks like that will be the case. Munn is just the latest to join the all-star cast of X-Men: Apocalypse that is set to arrive in theaters on May 27th, 2016. The film will reportedly focus heavily on First Class cast members Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy and Nicholas Hoult as well as Days of Future Past’s Evan Peters and likely Hugh Jackman returning as “Wolverine”. We will also see younger versions of some original X-Men characters including Sophie Turner as “Jean Grey”, Tye Sheridan as “Cyclops”, Alexandra Shipp as “Storm” and Kodi Smit-McPheee as “Nightcrawler”. It was also previously announced that Ben Hardy would be playing a young version of “Angel”, while newcomer Lana Condor would be playing “Jubilee”.
