Help On My XFX HD 4870 No Post Through DVI HD

On the #1 DVI I am not able to get any kind of signal. When I checked my DVI cable I noticed that one of the pins was broken and I changed it to my VGA cable and I am still having the same problem. If anybody can help me out it would be greatly appreciated.
