Roboexotica 2009 - Bartris Project
Also built on the same platform - Adult Mario: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7kiKE3lif8Q Bartris is a cocktail robotics project for Roboexotica 2009 (http://www.roboexotica.com) by Nonpolynomial Labs (http://www.nonpolynomial.com) Bartris consists of a pygame version of tetris (available at http://github.com/qdot/bartris, based on an implementation gotten from http://code.google.com/p/python-pygame-tetris/), a drink pouring mechanism, as well as ambient environment feedback based on events in the game. In the game, brown pieces represent coke, grey pieces represent rum, and blue pieces represent water. As lines are made, the amount of colors in each line are tallied. At the end of a level, these tallies are used to figure out how much of each ingredient to pour in the drink. The lighting reflects the ingredients in the drink, while the fan speed is set based on the speed of the falling pieces. All code for is available as part of the bartris project at http://www.github.com/qdot/bartris Thanks to: Monochrom (for bringing me to vienna in the first place and much much more) - http://www.monochrom.at Subotron (for the nintendo for the unit) - http://www.subotron.com Franz Ablinger - For helping me find parts and doing the heavy cutting for me so that I survived the project with limbs attached Kelly Moore - Designing the structure, and putting up with my questions about paint The organizers and participants in the Roboexotica Workshop - For all the great ideas that helped me implement this
