Halcyon Arts Lab: The Creativity Incubator Using the Arts to Foster Social Change HD

In this Washington Ideas Roundtable Series, Arts Program Director Damian Woetzel welcomed Halcyon Co-Founder and CEO Kate Goodall along with two Incubator Fellows, Sam Pressler and Yoko Sen, and Arts Lab Fellow Sheldon Scott, who are using the arts to drive change in health, education, and care for veterans. Creative people are always on the forefront of social change, whether they are artists, innovators, or entrepreneurs. These dynamic thinkers inherently question the status quo and envision new systems. Halcyon is a DC-based organization whose programs include the Halcyon Incubator for social entrepreneurs, and the Halcyon Arts Lab which provides emerging artists from around the world with the resources and support they need to bridge the gap between ambitious ideas and their potential impact.
