Wrel I do not only think that PvE elements will be good for Planetside 2, I think that they are neccesery. I mention this in other video but take what SOE plans for resource revamp. That basses are powered by warpgate with nanites. They plan to send does nanites through invisible waves. I think that better solution will be create automatic bumbelbees that spawn add warpgate and than travel to basses. This will create a suply lines, that will add depths to this game. Other option will be make all turrets in the basses work automaticly. Just imagine the amp station with all its AA turrets creating safe zone for one faction. Sending infiltrators to hack does turret will have real impact on the battles. Maybe we could even add new tool for the infiltrator like AI box, that is placed on the hacked turret like C4, but instead of exploding it’s take control over them. The next step from that will be controversial. The real bot’s. And To be honest I’m like many others do not want constant fighting with NPC’s as a new meta for Planetside. However I see for them specyfic role that players will never perform. And that role is Guarding the basses to prevent ghostcapping. Just 2 bots for the smaller basses, double that for basses like regent rock or crossroads, and 6 guardsman in the Amp station and Bio lab. They stop spawning when numbers of allies in basses are beyond 12. So if in small NC basse will be 11 players, only one of 2 guardsmen will respawn after dead. Now in the future we can combaine thoes guardsmen bots, with the Battle island to create what I like to call Special Ops Islands. On this Islands players do not fight each other, but instead must acomplish certaine goals, like raiding secret lab for intel, destroying prototype weapon, move to the evacuation zone, or hold the line against hordes of nanites zombies until evacuation galaxy arive. We can even create modes from others game, like defend the ancient from Dotas, were guardsman act like creeps. The posibilities are endless. Now two think before anybody start complaining. On this Special Islands players aquire score, but not experience or certs. Instead after finishing the mission they get random loot like one time use camos, some boosts, or High level implants and chargers. To limit a little acces to this kind of mission, and incurage organize teamplay I think that some payment for acces should be in place. Let’s say 1 cert for Battle rank give a 6 hours acces, or 100 station cash for a 7 day acces. Of course there should be option to pay for somebody else. So veterans players will sponsor the newbies. This will create new station cash and cert synk, increase value of membership, ad aditional gameplay modes. and even open posibilities of duel islands were squads and plattons
