Due to its heavy weight, very few solid bodies are made entirely from maple, but necks and tops. Maple is harder and has a brighter sound than Mahogany. It is favored for their bright resonant sound in highs and deeper mids, but not for lows. It carries sound waves well and extensively throughout their mid range. Good sustainability!
