Making Ham radio contacts | macloggerdx | FT-857 | CQ WW WPX SSB Ham Radio Contest HD

25.03.2018
There is a worldwide contest in the amateur radio (Ham Radio) community this weekend and I decided that I would see how many contacts I could make. Using my Yaesu FT-857D, my homemade fan dipole (6m, 17m, 20m, 40m) installed in my attic. and an End Fed 6-40 meter HF Antenna running out a window into a tree. The software I use for logging and radio control is: MacloggerDX please check out the webpage for a much better description than the one I did in this video: https://dogparksoftware.com/MacLoggerDX.html I also included a brief clip of N9YO making a contact on the air with NC6R who is in Fiddletown, CA. N9YO is in Missouri..I could not hear Missouri, but I could hear California...HF frequencies are magic (and evil). Here is a list of the States and Countries I worked today. I might do some more this evening, or tomorrow: United States worked: NE TX OH MA AR MS MI SC ALCA OK MN TN FL WA IA COUNTRIES WORKED: ARUBA CANADAITALY SPAIN BULGARIA HUNGARY FRANCE PUERTO RICO SLOVENIA CZECH REPUBLIC PORTUGAL GERMANY BRAZIL
