MMM Isla Verde Batangas Medical Mission | MMM Philippines (July 29, 2015) HD

MMM Philippines conducted another successful Charity Event: Medical/Dental Mission, Feeding Program and Haircut at Brgy. San Andres, Isla Verde, Batangas City headed by Manager Anton Bernardo of Team CIA. It started as early as 6:30AM on July 29, 2015 at his residence in Ibaan, Batangas. They travelled to Batangas Police Station where the group met with the staff of the Regional Health Office, Police Community Relations Office and the SWAT Team. At around 8:00AM, they travelled another hour to reach the shore of Dela Paz along Batangas Tabangao-Lobo Road where a ferry boat was already waiting to sail them to Isla Verde. After a half-hour ride, they finally reached Brgy. Andres. A short program was held as soon as the registration started. Brgy. Captain Arnold Briton, in his speech, expressed his happiness and gratitude to MMM Philippines for conducting such an event wherein his constituents will be give free Medical: check-up and Dental: tooth extraction plus free medicines. He also mentioned that there was only one barber in that area, so he was, likewise thankful to the Police barber. While in Manager Anton’s speech, he said that the group was equally happy to lead a charity event in a peaceful and hospitable community. He also discussed about MMM Ideology, its objectives, donation exchange and how it works. There were about 150 people in the area, mostly women, children and elders. Most cases of sickness were fever, colds, cough and stomach aches for children and hypertension and rheumatism for adults. The police staff helped Team CIA in the distribution of healthy snacks (sandwiches and juices) to the all the people there. The group took a short break for their lunch. At this time, 300 school children were coming out of their classrooms and formed a queue to get their share in the feeding section. There were 39 cases of tooth extraction and 125 medical check-ups with free medicines to all the patients. At exactly 3PM, the group packed up and readied to sail back to Batangas Tabangao Lobo Road. It was around 5:30PM that the team finally arrived in the city due to traffic congestion. It was truly a tiring day for the whole team but definitely worth it. All the residents were very sincere as they thanked MMM and the whole Medical/Dental team for conducting this charity event in their area. Thanks to all MMM participants!
