The Lost Crystals of Power briefing is the largest briefing featured in DCUO Episode 33. Divided up into 9 parts, the Lost Crystals of Power tells the history of the Zodiac crystals, which have allowed Corum Rath to gain unimaginable power in his quest to rule over Atlantis. The Crystals once thought of as lost are the powerful Zodiac Crystals, mentioned throughout the episode, including each of the 12 crystals being available as Omnipotent collections for players to find. The Zodiac Crystals were created many years ago by powerful mages Calculha and his wife Majistra. The Crystals were created to harness the power of the Earth, harnessing such elements as Earth, Wind, and Fire. Temptation swayed Majistra to the darkness, while Calculha did everything in his power to prevent his wife from destroying the World. The battle between good and evil raged on for years, being passed down to their children, Arian and Garn Daanuth. Eventually, good triumphed over evil and the crystals were hidden, becoming known as the lost crystals. In recent times, Ocean Master become aware of the Zodiac crystals existance and made it his mission to unite the crystals to prove his worthiness to rule over Atlantis. He only managed to acquire 6 before his plans were twarted by Aquaman with help from Arian. The crystals were once again hidden, to protect them from being used. But not for long. Corum Rath not only found the 6 Zodiac Crystals that Ocean Master had previously acquired, but he also located the other 6, as well, giving him the power he needed to take over Atlantis, leading up to the events in Episode 33.
