Dramatic Footage of the Slide Fire in Sedona HD

Oak Creek Canyon, the spectular canyon connecting Flagstaff and Sedona, is on fire. It began just north of Slide Rock State Park yesterday and continues to rage up the steep canyon walls into Coconino National Forest. Hundreds of homes are threatened. No estimates on containment are in sight. The fire fighters just want to get a handle on the flames before thinking of when the blaze might be contained. All available aircraft are enlisted to fight the blaze as well as all fire fighting helicopters.
