BEAR TESTRIG DYNAMIC GRAVITY FOR FFX HD
TEST SCENE FOR FFX OPTION "DYNAMIC GRAVITY" fiber fx example rendered with Octane PBR. hair layers for the body part total 3 1. layer covering hair 2. layer clumping 3. layer strands and randomness all layers use a edited fiber fx “style guide” fiber growing, strands, thickness, clumping, randomness, kink, splay, stray, scale and the clump channel is controlled by black and white textures mapped on the uv from the bear. the Octane Hair Shader set up use the same texture in the node set up for the color channel as colored texture bitmap. for every hair layer was used a different color ramp/ color bitmap for more color variations edit time for that test from zero. 28 hours. rendering time per frame in 1920 x 1080 pix = 16 sec refresh time to load the next frame for a animated sequence (do you remember it is 400.000 hairs) need 54 sec to refresh the scene in VRAM. so the total time per frame is 70 sec. fibers total 400000 guides 170100 edges 12800000 the scene is compatible with the lw native renderer. if you want that you just have to turn off the nodes for octane in fiber fx. you can then illuminate and shade the hair with the native renderer. the fibers was produced in lw layouter with the internal fiber fx tools.
