Box of Stars Theatre presents Aladdin Jr. HD

The Waller High School Box of Stars Theatre presented an exciting performance of Disney’s Aladdin Jr. on Thursday, November 2 and Saturday, November 4 in the Waller High School Auditorium. The show started with an enticing introduction by the Narrators, Waller High School students Ameris Harlow, Joey McGrew, Allyson Anderson, Nathan Snow, and Savannah Cleary. Andy McGrew captivated the audience as Aladdin, the resourceful street rat. Jasmine was played by Jennifer Gonzales, who put on a stunning performance as the enchanting Princess of Agrabah and the daughter of the mighty Sultan, played by Waller High School teacher Clint Smith. Aladdin who desperately tries to attract Jasmine, enlists the power of Genie, played by Keturah Thomas. Aladdin wishes for Genie to transform him into a prince to be worthy to win the love of Princess Jasmine. Power hungry Jafar, played by Taylor Bryson, and his scheming parrot Iago, played by Alma Ely, plan to defeat Aladdin so that Jafar can marry Princess Jasmine and gain a position of ultimate power. Aladdin and Jasmine fall for each other and decide to be married only to be defeated by Jafar and his guards, played by Waller High School students Christin Gardner, Luna Simpson, Angel Ratcliffe, and Arianna Griffith, with the Captain of the Guards, Razoul, played by Luke Musser. This amazing show was directed by Waller High School Theatre Teacher Dean Guerra, Theatre Director Carrie Wood, and Choir Director Richard Owens, and was choreographed by Waller High School Drill Team Director Krista Miller-Lutz and Makenzie Clower. The townspeople were played by Waller High School students Marlene Ramirez, Grace Stewart, Destiny Dunsmore, Daisy Saldana, Cecilia Barboza, Priscilla Hernandez, Kimberly Rodriguez, Angela Lopez, Kristina Littlejohn, Alejandra Cardenas, Kaitlynn McIntyre, Karen Cruz, Tania Turrubiartes, Delaney Williams, Makenzie Clower, Bailey Williams, Mekdelawyt Negesie, Celide Guerra, Taylor Mealey, Elizabeth Sanchez, Keiwan Merrell, Zaire Livingston, Hailey Garner, Danielle Fehrenbach, Sydney Redmon, Arlizza Velasquez, Lana Clark, Melissa Fernandez, Katherine De Le Rosa, Kimberley De La Rosa, and Sandra Rodriguez.
