Ždiar is a wonderful little ski resort town in the High Tatras. It’s quite a windy day as you walk through the town up to one of the local ski areas, but it’s also bright and sunny with great views of traditional Slovak houses and the peaks of the High Tatras (Tatry). We spent a week in Zdiar, SK and had a great time. Well, I stayed in and worked but the rest of us got out and enjoyed the mountains. Ždiar is about 30-40 minutes from Poprad where we arrived by train. We took a taxi to Zdiar for about 30 Euros which we though was a pretty good deal with all of our bags.
