What Would Happen if You Injected Alcohol? HD

What Would Happen if You Injected Alcohol? First let’s state up front that injecting alcohol is a bad idea for reasons we will discuss below. Do not inject alcohol. It’s a completely moronic thing to do. But it is an interesting thought experiment that helps to understand the effects of alcohol, so let’s jump in. The thing about drinking alcohol this way is that it takes time for the alcohol to get absorbed. The amount of time depends on things like what you are drinking, how quickly you drink it and how much food you have in your stomach. It might take 20 minutes for you to notice significant effects. Meanwhile the liver is busy processing the alcohol to eliminate it from the bloodstream (you exhale some of the alcohol and urinate some of it, but the liver does 90% of the processing). That takes time too. According to the article, “As a rule of thumb, an average person can eliminate 0.5 oz (15 ml) of alcohol per hour.” So if you drink 1 ounce of 100 proof moonshine, you are drinking 0.5 ounces of alcohol. It is going to take time for that alcohol to enter the bloodstream, and an hour later it will be mostly gone. So to answer your question, there really isn’t any chemical difference between drinking and injecting alcohol. In both cases you have ethanol molecules flowing in the bloodstream. But there is a big time difference. And because of the time difference you would need to be extremely careful in the amount injected. A mistake could be fatal. It would be good to apply the “don’t try this at home” rule. Imagine the difference now, between a person shooting up some form of distilled alcohol. I think there’s a video of Steve O with a walking around the streets at night dressed in a surgical gown and hauling around this drip trolley, with the drip attached to his arm. He goes into a bar and looks wasted. What an idiot. Look you’re never going to be able to stop idiots doing idiotic things, then sticking them up on YouTube. But this is really dangerous. But I was saying take the view of the guy, say Steve O with the vodka drip and compare it with the guy who is injecting heroin. Have your ever seen the process? It looks awful. I don’t mean the process of injecting, although that’s bad enough. I mean the process of melting down this brown gunk, sucking it into a needle and shoving the needle into an artery. These guys don’t know what’s in the heroin. Fair enough, we don’t know what’s in the vodka, but we could probably find out. Who’s going to tell you exactly what’s in the heroin? Nobody. Because it’s illegal. The reason these guys are injecting this crud into their veins and risking themselves so badly is because it’s illegal. Being illegal doesn’t stop anyone from taking the drug, it just makes sure that anyone who does take it is likely to get a dodgy product. People drink legal alcohol all over the world, yet there are still people who, for one reason or another are going to want to do it differently. Do you really need me to tell you not t
