Landscape Photography - Capturing long exposure waterfall images HD
After a long hot summer of little Landscape Photography we were greeted by over 100 mm of rainfall. Knowing that the rain had finally arrived I awoke one morning a headed for Brisbane Water National Park and in particular Somersby Falls to capture some long exposure waterfall images. After so much preparation I was disappointed the first day after the track was closed due to flooding. Not to be deterred I returned the next weekend when then rainfall ceased to capture this wonderful location.Heading to the bottom falls I captured some shots using the Nikon D7100 and the 11-16mm Tolkina wide angle lens with the Format Hightech Firecrest polariser fitted. After capturing several shots I concluded with an image with the 10 stop ND filter –happy days. A trip to this area would not be complete without visiting the hidden falls on the Girrakool walking track again in Brisbane Water National Park with superb contrast and a unique location this area never disappoints and today was to be just as rewarding.
