Former NFL QB Colin Kaepernick Face of NIKE "Just Do It" 30th Anniversary (REACTION) HD
Former NFL Quarterback Colin Kaepernick has become the face (or one of the faces) of Nike’s upcoming marketing push for the 30th Anniversary of the “Just Do It” campaign. A picture of him surfaced online with the caption “Believe in something. Even if it means sacrificing everything.” written across his face with the Nike logo and “Just Do It” beside it. The move, of course, has sparked outrage and disappointment online and off due to Kaepernick’s unpatriotic and controversial stances. An official statement is not available at this time from Nike as to their reasoning behind selecting him for this particular campaign, but many have given their speculations which are more than likely accurate. First of all, Kaepernick has been signed to Nike since 2011 while he was still playing football. They have not used him in any marketing or merchandise over the past two years that he has been out of football. However, they notice that there may be money to make here because although he is no longer a pro athlete, he still has very high name recognition. His jersey continues to be a decent seller. Conversation around him is always present and that is part of what makes him a very popular person. Other shoes companies apparently started to take notice of his value, and Nike hopped on the train since they already had him signed anyway. The problem here is that a lot of people do not like Kaepernick. The anthem kneeling protest that he made popular has spread like a virus to the rest of the league and has caused a 20 to 30% drop in revenue over the past two years and change. Money loss in this situation can be explained by a very simple thing, lack of viewership and participation. Less people watching the game, less people attending, less merchandise sold all equal a tough economic situation. Despite all the red flags and warnings, Nike seems to be good to go. They’ve made their decision and are prepared to deal with it. Maybe they think there will be some phony internet outrage and it will subside after a while. The NFL may have thought the same thing and after THAT mistake, they may never be the same again. ––––––––––––––––––––––– CONTACT ME: ► http://www.anthonyblogan.com/contact/ DONATE: ► https://www.paypal.me/ablogan ► https://www.patreon.com/anthonyblogan ABL MERCH: ► https://teespring.com/stores/abl-gear SOCIAL MEDIA: ► http://www.twitter.com/anthonyblogan ► https://www.facebook.com/anthonybrianlogan/ ► https://discord.gg/JVdp9gu ––––––––––––––––––––––– Colin Kaepernick is the face of Nike’s 30th anniversary ‘Just Do It’ campaign, and that’s getting plenty of reaction http://thecomeback.com/nfl/colin-kaepernick-is-the-face-of-nikes-30th-anniversary-just-do-it-campaign-and-thats-getting-plenty-of-reaction.html Fans Burn Nike Gear in Response to Colin Kaepernick’s ‘Just Do It’ Ad Campaign https://www.breitbart.com/sports/2018/09/03/fans-burn-nike-gear-in-response-to-colin-kaepernicks-just-do-it-ad-campaign/ Report: Colin Kaep
