The enthusiasm and energies exhibited by each of them in the cultural events revealed to us their urge to excel. Little encouragement, small boost and a word of praise by their beloved teachers has created new discoveries of inner strength and physical dyanmics. Each event was unique and different. There is abundant variety and immense creativity. Language wise, children from I to VII put up Kannada,Marati,Hindi and English language events. There are two dramas, one in English on "Mulan, the Chinese Woman Warrior" defending her nation against invasion of enemies with a message of valour and courage. The Second drama is in Hindi ,"Nukkad Deko" symbising the society we live in and giving a message to people to strenghten the institution of Democracy by exercising the right to vote. Another outstanding presentation of music ,dance drama is by mix of boys and girls with lines "Tick Tick Plastic" highlighting to the audience ,the need to contain the use of plastic. The children attract our attention when children dance to the tunes and list to us ,the presence of plastic in every part of our life and the hazard it brings. There are many dance sequences well choreographed dipicting patriotic ferver like Vande Mataram, Hey Vatan, another one idealsing the valourous deeds of Jhansi Rani Laxmi Bai. There are dipictions of Stree Shakti, Jagadambe, Amba Bhavani, in Marati and other languages with expression of fury and fighting the devil. Kannada Janapada has found its place of pride with children singing in chorous, lead by a leader, the beauty of the girl who entered their village life. Though this is a group song, the presentation attracts public attention due the presence of the girl narrated by the singers, going all around the place with dance steps and hypnotic actions. Another notable presentation by the children was on the theme of saving the precious water for posterity, presented in the form of bhajan in Marati. The melodious chorus and the stage presentation of the theme brings to the fore, the skills children have mastered over repeated practices and rehearsals. Bharata Natyam The classical Bharata Natyam dance has found its expression on two occassion. One is exclusive, three minute long, energy packed intensely engaging dance. The foot work is marked by hard hit on the ground, rhythmic and senchronidsed and a jump in to the open space ,the cosmos. The other place where you could see pure and intense Bharata Natyam ,is fusion dance of many mixes,of which one is classical dance form. One
