After that tournament, Swandi, who impressed scouts was offered the chance to train with the Japanese team Albirex Nigata. The young then toured Europe and trained with big clubs famous for training youngsters (Atletico Madrid, AFC Ajax, Chelsea, Newcastle United and FC Metz). He was offered a youth contract from the Spanish, Dutch and French teams and eventually signed up with FC Metz in France. Swandi was recently called up to the national team to be blooded in.
