Muslim man asks questions to a Christian in a street - June 14, 2015 HD
1) “JESUS CHRIST NEVER SAID THAT HE WAS GOING TO DIE FOR THE SINS OF OTHER PEOPLE.” The central mission of Jesus’ coming was to die for our sins. As soon as Jesus revealed that He is the Messiah to His disciples, He taught His disciples that He should suffer, die and resurrected (Mark 8:31, 9:31, 10:34, ..). Then, the reason for His death was also revealed. John 10:11 “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.” John 10:14 “..I lay down my life for the sheep.” Mark 10:45 “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Matthew 26:28 (about His death)“This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.” 2) "DIFFERENT BIBLES HAVE DIFFERENT MESSAGES" OR IS THE CHRISTIAN SCRIPTURE CORRUPTED? Manuscript of the New Testament (from late 1st Century or early 2nd Century until the printing was invented) confirms that we have the same message in our Bible that we posses now. We have over 5,780 Greek manuscripts (Averaging 200 pages per manuscript, 1.3 million pages of hand written copies), over 10,000 Latin manuscripts, and 5-10,000 manuscripts in other languages for the New Testament! No ancient literature has this many manuscripts. We also have over one Million quotations from early Christian writings and commentaries, which could produce multiple New Testaments from this alone even if no Biblical manuscripts could exist now. Islamic Scholar Abdullah Saeed wrote “Since the “authorized” Scriptures of Jews and Christians remain very much today as they existed at the time of the Prophet, it is difficult to argue that the Quranic references to Tawrat and Injil were only to the “pure” Tawrat and Injil as existed at the time of Moses and Jesus, respectively. If the texts have remained more or less as they were in the seventh century CE, the reverence the Quran has shown them at the time should be retained even today. Many interpreters of the Quran, from Tabari to Razi to Ibn Taymiyya and even Qutb, appear to be inclined to share this view. -“The charge of Distortion of Jewish and Christian Scriptures”, Muslim World; Fall 2002, vol. 92, Issue 3/4, p.419) If you say that our Christian Scripture is changed, I would like you to produce me at least one manuscript evidence from among these thousands of manuscripts which say, for example, that Jesus did not die or He is not the Son of God or He did not rise from dead or He is not the only way to God or God is not called ‘Father.’ Christian Muslim debate Muslim Christian debate Muslim men challenging a christian Street preaching Muslim street preaching Islamic dawah Muslim street Dawah Street dawah Heaven or hell
