MOVI SE BUS NO.6, doc. RIJEKA-TOWN OF EU CULTURE

/ charity and art project „ČA-RI, ČANDEKOVCI-RIJEKA" / authors: Irena Grubiša and Dragan Karlo Došen The creative documentary „MOVI SE LINIJA BROJ 6" was filmed on 23rd March 2013 in Rijeka city bus no.: 6, within the charity and art project „ČA-RI, ČANDEKOVCI RIJEKA" set up by Irena Grubiša and NGO "MOVI SE- učinimo zajedno nešto lijepo i humano" with the aim to help the Centre for Autism – Branch in Rijeka financially. The motto of this documentary is “to be together” as well as “to bring back the Čandek street to life”; the goal was to bring some warmness and creative art beauty into this alienated urban environment and some life into the grim reality of our everyday life. Renowned Croatian painters, photographers, musicians and other artists who live and/or create in the Franje Čandeka Street in Rijeka and therefore called the ČANDEKs (after the name of the street Čandek) make one part of bus travellers using the city bus no. 6 (regular line – runs in accordance with regular Saturday schedule). Some of these travellers express themselves visually, some through songs, some through music or verses: a singer from Rijeka Sabrina Hebiri, wearing clothes by a renowned designer from Rijeka Juraj Zigman, sings to them all; however, some of them neither hear nor see what’s going on in the bus on that Saturday 23rd March 2013. ******* Franjo Čandek, an intelligent agent from the World War II, after whom this street, which connects Turnić block (known as the nursery of rock), is named is on the billboard stylised by the artist Vedran Rosandić whereas number “100” on this billboard represents the anniversary of his birth. The VIP card for travellers i.e. film-extras, whose background is coloured light blue and thus reminds of old city public vehicles, was made by the Čandek Saša Krepelnik. ******* The County of Primorje and Gorski kotar, public utility company “Čistoća”, “Van Gogh” Pizzeria, "Sluga Print" and “Movi se NGO” members financed with their own funds the filming of the documentary as well as the realization of the whole "ČA-RI,Čandekovci Rijeka" charity and art project (within which art workshops were held in TURNIĆ Elementary School on 6th March and a charity auction of known Croatian artists “ČA-RI” in the “ART” Gallery on 20th April 2013).
