Doodle Jump is the brilliant brainchild of Lima Sky. Although most of their other apps are educational, Doodle Jump is a great game that doesnt require much learning to play. And to think, it all started with a bouncing red smiley face Sunflat was the original ones to bring this type of game to the iPhone with their creation of Papijump and its concept of a constant bouncing ball scoring more and more points as it climbed higher and higher. Although Lima Sky took it to the next level by giving Doodle Jump so much more! Replacing the red smiley face is a 4 legged horn-nosed green creature with a passion for jumping. The controls are handled by the iPhones accelerometer and are very simple to use: tilt left or right and your doodle creature will follow in the same direction while hopping from one platform to the next. There are objects that will assist you on your way up such as springs to make you bounce farther and jet packs to launch you to new heights. But there are also things to avoid that will bring you down. Monsters can be trouble unless shot down by tapping the screen, although make sure you keep your balance because it is easy to fall! Other than that, if you stay away from the black holes and dont rely on a broken platform to keep you going you should be alright. So whether you are hooked on hitting a high score or just enjoy the simplicity of a good game, Doodle Jump is a great addition to sooth your pocket gaming needs.
