Dancing Stars and Fast Cars - Zandra Rhodes for People Tree AW15 HD

This new collaboration showcases some of Zandra’s iconic prints on the finest 100% certified organic cotton. Dancing Stars were drawn whilst Zandra was at the Royal College of Art where she took inspiration from David Hockney and decided that the theme of her final major project would be these amazing medal-shaped stars. Zandra Rhodes went to the war museum and Wellington’s home to draw rows of medals in the form of graphic individual stars, adorned with playful bows. At college Zandra bought her first television which inspired these pop art sketches of Lady Penelope’s car. The dramatic explosions of the Comic Check print are a take on comic strips, the dots are newspaper full stops. “I am so proud of this collaboration with People Tree; Comic Check Print, Dancing Stars & Fast Cars.
