Why is My Pregnancy Not Showing? HD
Why is my pregnancy not showing? Why do you think this is a problem? I think it is a problem if it means the baby is not developing right. You may not be as far along as you think you are, particularly if your period has been irregular. Always talk to a doctor if you think the pregnancy is irregular. The doctor’s sonogram told me how far along I am, and nothing was flagged as bad then, but I’m not showing like I should. It is normal for women to not show as early when it is a first pregnancy. With subsequent pregnancies, your breasts and hips are already at full size and the stomach muscles are not as tight so you’ll show a lot more earlier. I show less than I think I should. You may be mistaking stomach size with progress. Some women gain a lot of weight with the pregnancy. Weight gain is normal during pregnancy. Maybe ten pounds for the breasts and wider hips and feet, ten pounds of blood and fluids, ten pounds for the baby - Ten pounds is a terrifyingly huge baby. Let’s say eight pounds is average. Ten pounds makes you bigger than average in the last month, and a six pound baby means you won’t show as much. That would be undersized. Some women have an average size kid, but not enough umbilical fluid. However, that’s something the doctor should see in the sonograms and actually checks for. I’ve never heard of that problem before. Some women think they are doing something right when the kid sticks out more, because the kid’s head or butt is essentially sticking out forward. However, your dimensions may actually be biggest side to side. Then the kid is not in the right direction. They do flips and turn for months before ideally settling into a head down position. So you not showing as much in the back to front dimension is not a problem if the kid is kicking the side of your stomach instead of your bladder. I think the kid is head down already. You’ll stick out more when the kid is above the pelvis and then grow more compact as the kid’s head sinks into position. Does that mean I’m in labor? Only if you’re having back pains or muscle spasms. But if the kid is down in that position head first, you’re a lot less likely to need fancy manipulation to get the kid in position and maybe even a faster delivery. Faster delivery on that would be something I’d pay for. You do not have to worry about a pregnancy not showing then, when you have a baby to show off.
