Substance Painter: Glass HD

05.03.2017
This video is all about glass and working with opacity in both Substance Painter and Redshift in Houdini. I start by exploring the conditions that need to be met in order for opacity to work in Painter. Then I make an adjustment back in modo on the model it self and re-import it back into Substance Painter. All the textures are reapplied and it all works out ok. After all of that is done I create the actual glass material on the front of the drone. In order not to waste time creating two materials I merely explore how I went about the glass material for the solar panels, and explain mask layering. Eventually make my way into Houdini to set up the groups for the new objects, apply the glass shader and show off how it is set up before rendering.
