Uber vs. NYC: The City Plans to Unveil Their Own App | Mashable HD

Uber will say they are cheaper and faster for the customer, and that their drivers make more money. Medallion owners will chide Uber for not paying their fair share of taxes, and using surge pricing to gouge customers. New York’s Taxi and Limousine Commission (TLC) hopes to strike back at Uber with an app of their own soon. Until then, the livelihoods of drivers on both sides of the divide remain at stake.
