CASE STUDY – 04-26-2016 : Fashion Mall Plantation Florida - 2016 Problem: A local mall is scheduled to be demolished. During instigation it was determined that the Adjacent Hotel (Sheridan Suites) was connected to the common Mall Fire pump. The existing Fire Pump Room is scheduled to be demolish prior to the hotel being able to install a new fire pump. The existing hotel cannot be without the required life safety systems, and remain open; including the wet fire sprinkler system. The fire protection system of the hotel was designed utilizing a fire pump to increase pressure to supply the required Standpipe and sprinkler demand. Solution: Sprinklermatic has a complete UL-FM listed Fire Pump Room – on a trailer, and used for temporary solution to fire pump impairments ;longer than 24 hours and requiring Fire Watch or loss of Occupancy. Temporary Fire Pump: Diesel 2000 GPM @ 120 PSI – FP Controller (220 v) – Jockey Pump – JP Controller – test Header –Discharge - Pressure relief valve (Dial in the required pressure) - Day Tank – Low Fuel Alarm.
