With a nearly 5-inch blade made from a solid billet of D2 tool steel, the full-tang SzaboHawk excels in piercing, slicing, and chopping tasks. Its 0.3-inch-thick blade is coated with black titanium carbonitride, which provides corrosion resistance and eliminates reflection. Each tomahawk is hand-finished before coating to ensure a smooth blend between the handle scales and tang. Balanced, Versatile G-10 Handle The SzaboHawk’s handle is ergonomically designed for maximum control and speed in close-combat situations. Two G-10 scales are rounded off on the sides and mounted to the blade with three sets of Allen screws for a rock-solid grip. The handle’s crescent shape creates a balanced weight distribution without too much focus on the head of the axe—which lends itself to quicker movements and more control. Slide your hand toward the head for closer cuts, and farther down the butt for jobs that require a full range of motion. The back side of the blade doubles as a hammer and the bottom of the handle functions as a pry bar. About the Designer Laci Szabo is a martial artist, law enforcement officer, and US Marine veteran.
